I don't know if this is a problem for anybody else but;
I've been thinking about hiatusing from now and then since my character isn't really getting anywhere. What makes me hesitate however is the fact that you cannot keep your equipment. I'd pref ere not to have start over equipmentwise when I bring the hiatused character back.
I feel that saving of equipment on the hiatused character would make it easier for people to try it out, without having friends who can protect it or building a near-impenetrable castle to hide it in.
This would also remove any problems with people using their hiatused characters equipment.
I can understand the pure rp-wise reason since your soul basically goes to another plane, makes sense that equipment doesn't follow. On the other hand we already have the no-loot system (unless it was removed, I've been gone for a while) and this would just be a small extension to that.
Are there other reasons for designing it like it is now?
