All this talk about upping and lowering skill cost is kind of irrelevant in my honest opinion. If 2 handed polearm has a dev cost of 12 and gives tonnes of exp and knife has a dev cost of 4 and gives no exp, what's the ultimate difference? People will have the same skills, but one will be like 15 levels higher. This just presents another problem. I agree with Kim with regards to giving the weapon classes a discrete bonus of some kind, and after that, adding something to the helpfile. It doesn't need to be "Gives 10% bonus to parry" it can be "Offers help parrying attacks". I think doubling crits for anyone is too huge of an advantage, especially in PK.
