There are enough people on to have looting happen relatively regularly. I'm aware of at least two lootings in the past month, which is not a large amount by any standard, but it is enough to make me believe it's still common practice. As such, there should be some way to relieve a player of their livelihood. I personally never fear looting of my places of living because I only keep garbage to xp with there.

Corpse looting does keep the economy going to some degree, but so do bugs and crashes. I think the fact that tinker membership hasn't seen a significant drop in however long save on ghost and no looting has been around is partially telling, but should be watched. More specifically, the amount of weapons and armour being made of things other than iron and/or newbium (whatever the hell this nonsense is) should be paid attention to. I only build new weapons when I have the skill, or someone who has some knowledge of good xp weapons is around (I need better xp weapons!), and I only buy new armour when I think I can significantly increase the protection of the armour I currently own.

Oh, and Okef rules. I will hear nothing bad mouthing that fine, fine fellow who keeps my xp flowing.
