the tinker guild is the builder of weapons and armour. I think they should be able to make other items. things that can be made and sold. part of the economy in other items or metal doors.
can have a tinker guild metal chests. have a carpenter build the wood that will be used to build the chest if it is a metal strapped chest. same with doors and windows and other items used in constuction.
a city needs to have smiths to build and repair. get exp from repairing items for the city. go around and look at things that need repair and then put in a request to fix it or replace it with a new one while the old one is repair and used someplace else.
