Heres a thought:

What about making the mud utilize gods more. Maybe god worship would provide different skills/variants based on what god the player worships. An example could be an evil cleric or a anti-paladin. The spells or skills themselves might not need to change, but a holy blade could suddenly start casting unholy crits ( with a name change of course from holy to unholy). That way, we could use the new crit tables of light and darkness. May or may not be the best idea, but it had me thinking since I logged on and there are new crit tables. Oh, and Id like to be a anti-paladin =o
