Silly as it may be, the forum's description is "In character chats". I've got nothing against removing the forum entirely, but it'd be just as stupid to put a topic for the web forums in the "News from the Site Admin" forum, wouldn't you say?

I don't think it's that bad. Daggers holding tattered pages to boards, official announcements with wax seals pegged, sketched wanted posters... I think it's a poor idea to try and use an IC board as a way to actively participate in IC interactions though.

The tinker and enchanter workbooks are IC boards on the mud. I think Drey was referring to the idea that an IC board on the web is dumb, since you can post eternally on an IC board on the web without ever once logging in.
The workbooks are fine, even if they go completely ignored, because people have to be standing at them to write in them, essentially.
